The deployment of emergency notification systems for organisations is on the rise. At the time of disaster, the ability to communicate with everyone becomes critical. This is particularly important for enterprises with employees working within different groups and those with business partners that need to be notified.
During a crisis or disaster, normal lines of communication may fail when you need them most. That’s why organisations depend on MobileCONNECT for a direct two-way communication channel to large numbers of employees, customers, and business partners during emergencies and disasters. MobileCONNECT provides a consolidated screen with all the responses from your employees, customers and business partners.
The most efficient way to reach most people today is via their cell phone. However it is cumbersome to text groups of people who are on different networks (LIME and Digicel). MobileCONNECT meets this challenge by allowing you to send group text messages from any computer or mobile device with an Internet connection. This gives you quick access to all your contacts’ cell phones for your daily communications as well as emergency notifications.
MobileCONNECT is hosted on secure infrastructure at BIC’s disaster recovery centre and utilizes the Cable & Wireless/LIME SMS Gateway. Organisations subscribe to the service on a monthly basis for a nominal subscription fee based on volume of users and are billed only for the text messages they send. BIC does not charge a service fee to the mobile subscriber for receiving the alerts.
MobileCONNECT provides a group text messaging gateway for your daily communications. With its centralized console you can easily send polling questions to large groups via their cell phones and immediately view responses as they text their individual replies.
A single text message can be sent to hundreds of mobile subscribers using Cable and Wireless, Digicel, and ATT phones, all at once. Each sender sets up their distribution groups to meet their business needs.
The MobileCONNECT call center is available to send group messages at senders request should the sender not have Internet access.
Recipients can be contacted using any text enabled mobile phone; email and web access are not required.
MobileCONNECT provides true two-way communication to help you reach your audience – no matter where they are or what the time of day. MobileCONNECT can poll users to gather real-time data on the status of critical situations as they unfold or users’ feedback on issues of interest or time sensitive news.
