MobileCONNECT is hosted on secure infrastructure at BIC's disaster recovery centre and utilizes the Cable & Wireless SMS Gateway. Organizations subscribe to the service on a monthly basis for a nominal subscription fee based on volume of users and are billed only for the text messages they send. BIC does not charge a service fee to the mobile subscriber for receiving the alerts.
